Yhulan has shared her story as part of a 2021 Rare Disease Day initiative called Canada's Rare Voices. This is an online program, the largest of its kind in recent memory, devoted entirely to increasing the visibility of Canada's rare disease communities. This program will reach over 7,000,000 Canadians over an 8 week period, leading up to, over, and after Rare Disease Day 2021. Congratulations Yhulan, for bravely being part of this amazing educational endeavour.
Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients' lives.
